I've decided that student doctors are no good at starting IVs. It's crazy how such a tiny little poke can cause such a big bruise. And so much swelling. Sheesh.

That's why we have phlebotomists. He or she poked the needle all the way through your vein, causing intradermal bleeding and a hematoma. Yeah, it will leave a nasty bruise. :(

The huge bruise covers most of the back of my hand! The swelling is up on my forearm where the IV actually wound up. No bruise there, just redness and swelling. It is going away finally. :)

I was just getting ready for bed and I came back in to the lounge to shut my laptop down and my "Jake" kitty was sitting on the keyboard.
He's just created a bookmark for a page called: "TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTARGH F" :biggrin2:
(This was his way of saying: "your sofa time is over, I want to go to f'king sleep.")
