what are the odds of running into a member of the skmb at work on a saturday? had to ask for some water from the tenant one of the places I work at today, mixing concrete...no outside spigot...knock on the door w/a five-gallon bucket...pretty lady with red hair answers the door I tell her what I need she takes the bucket and heads for the kitchen and I ask you want me to do it and she says no she can handle it...so...I stand there rooted to the spot, notice the bookcase over in the corner...SK titles...hardcover...lots of hardcovers. She comes back carrying the bucket of water and I ask who is the die-hard SK fan...she is. Heh. So...we get to talking SK...I ask if she's a member of the message board...she is I guess...though the vibe I got was she didn't want to come out and confess...I am the oobleck, after all...so we talk some more SK...I tell her I want to stop on the way back to pick up Esquire...busy...me work...and so it goes. Jessie is her name. She said her moniker name but I forgot it. Bookstore didn't have the right Esquire. September...no August...not on the shelf anyway. Ka.
She has TGWLTG pop-up book...didn't have much time to talk SK other than to hit the highlights recent reads coming attractions. Random? And so on and so forth and scoobie doobie doo.

When we were driving up towards the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and I was looking at a map, I had this flashback to you posting here in the past about an area that you lived in and I could have sworn it was a peninsula of some sort. If you live close to that area, I must say - it is a lovely part of the country! I heard it is very nice in the fall, too, once all the trees start turning colours.

That is too cool!!! Did you tell her who you were? I think it would be super fun to accidentally meet someone from here. Rack your brain for that name.

She said her name is Jessie. When I asked what her SKMB moniker is...she hesitated scrunched her eyes a tad and asked herself what is my log-in name? After a sec she looks at me and says a name that has no meaning to me, she seemed to understand my confusion, and she explained it is a Harry Potter character...have not read the Harry Potter stories, alas. I told her who I was but she didn't seem to know. Didn't ask for my autograph, anyway. Heh! There was this once I'm finishing a job here in town, roof, and the customer's little boy comes outside...I think I'd been paid, was winding things up, and he hands me this little book, a small thing hardcover, has it open to a blank page and he hands me a pen. He said something that I didn't hear properly, seems somewhat shy, bashful...is smiling...little kid about five. So...I take the book thinking Ma wants a receipt so I write out a "received from" the amount and sign my name. Later on, Ma explained to me that Brad wanted my autograph, that he collects them. This other, she has long red hair, pretty...must be a pile like that on board, hey? I think she might be from the L.P. The Lower Peninsula of Michigan...had to do some additional work at her landlord's place in another town. Been working too hard too many Saturdays and all week in a row and Sundays don't count even though something gets done.

Probably not Bellatrix...this lady is...got a loaded situation here...mid- to late- 20s? early-30s? Whatever answer gets me in the least amount of trouble. I dunno...I suppose she could be 50. Bellatrix isn't ringing any memory bells...don't know that any name would.

Good Evening...

Sorry, I have been sharing my thoughts other ways. It is always great to come back to the spot where I first started to share, even when there was Facebook. To me, times then were much more fun than what they are now. When I come back here, I feel the fun, even if my thoughts are sometimes misunderstood. I would say...that no matter what anyone would say, I have no ego, I know you would not need me, but I would work for you. Poe is great, but for his time, his music still plays nice, but yours is refreshing. It's great to hear about 5 cent root-beer floats. Just sharing, have a great rest of your Sunday....
