No, I'm glad that you do it. On this board, the birthdays are harder to find or are in a place where I don't see them so if it wasn't for your threads, I would miss many of them.

Teenage angst ahead

Not happy. Got my English mark back. Results are poor (by my standards at least, I passed by a reasonable margin, but I digress). Teacher....was surprised, especially considering my previous English mark of 97.5%. I did not put enough detail put in (understatement of the year award goes to CriticAndProud) .

This really has me down in the dumps. Really, it's just a number on a page, and it's only worth as much as people say it is. However, since people say it is very important, I see it as such. I still have a couple of tasks still to do (pretty easy ones) to redeem myself, but I can only hope this isn't a trend. I know one mark does not a trend make, but the pessimistic side of me says I'm screwed.

Today started crazy, but ended up okay. I jettisoned a good portion of the list and spent time in the bookstore with my two youngest (bought 2 books, too!), then took them out to sushi before doing the shopping that couldn't be avoided. Didn't make it to moms, get my house cleaned or my lawn mowed, or make it to the street festival, but I had a good time with my kids and made delicious pizza when we got home Totally worth it. Now for some wine and a movie before bed.
