Panhandling --

i would love to stand on a street corner with a sign:

Need a buck?

And see how many people in cars would roll their windows down to RECEIVE money.

It would be a great college paper experiment type thing.

Stand out there one day asking for money. The next day, stand out there and give away money.
Keep track of the money,
keep track of ages of people most likely to give or GET money.
Genders most likely to give or get?

Log in nasty comments thrown at you for asking for money.
Log in nice comments for giving away money.

What other things could I keep track of?
How many times you were called a Dirty Pirate Hooker?;;D nyuk nyuk nyuk MF....I know, I know....

When I went to my part-time job last evening I stopped by Customer Service and asked if they had any of those solar eclipse glasses left. The girl slapped me (in a funny manner) and asked “Where have you been? We've been out for about a week now.” (Actually, I hadn’t worked there in three weeks). She said they were keeping a tally of everyone that day who asked about them. I was number 53.

Note to Self:

Do NOT be the first customer of the day at a popular eatery.

This is not an exaggeration. I had 17 employees (this was kitchen staff, wait staff, cashiers, preppers, table cleaners and I think a can of of corn) come greet me and tell me how happy they were to see me.

Okay. That's really pretty nice. Made me smile. I've been joking about it with my son ever since --, but being sort of gang banged like that made me feel like I was being groomed for a cult.

Side note:

We are all best friends now, took time to braid each other's hair and we are having a slumber party next week where we will put Cynthia's hand in a bowl of water when she falls asleep!

(We don't have an eatery around here with staff even close to being this friendly! Most places make me feel like I should apologize just for walking through the door. Good thing I don't get out much! ;) )

As some of you know, I write letters to people. I buy a lot of stamps because I try to really think about the people I am writing to. Who they are, their interests, what they do for a living -- things like that.

For instance, If I write an author, I use stamps featuring authors, books, subject matter that is relevant to them. Or if I write someone in politics, I choose an appropriate stamp. War hero? There are military stamps. You get the idea.

I'm going to write Stephen Hawking and Neil deGrasse Tyson and use these:

Total Eclipse of the Sun

They are so cool. A temperature change takes them from a black circle to a view of the moon. Fun!
