God's Pocket. Give this one 5.554 out of a possible 5.560, using Von Flavon's elliptical scales of reasoning.

But seriously youse cats, check it out, it's rather decent. Made me miss ol Phillip Seymorr Hoffman--now there was a damn fine actor.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron 10/10

This was awesome i love how they are setting up to have all the infinity stones in the next movie. Be sure to watch when the credits are playing.

Same here. I LOVED the movie, despite a couple of little quirks :)

Melancolía.

Interesting movie and I’d say the best imagery of any movie I’ve seen so far (and I’m not just talking Kirsten Dunst).

Lol what quirks?
This will be a spoiler for Age of Ultron! Don't read if you haven't seen the movie yet & care about spoilers!

1) the CGI right at the beginning was wonky--it looked like a video game. 2) I wish it had explained how Tony came to be back in the Avengers. At the end of Iron Man 3, he destroyed his stuff and said he was done. 3) the pool scene with Thor needed a lot more exposition to make much sense. This might be cleared up when the deleted scenes or director's cut is released. I understand that 2 major Thor scenes were cut: one where he was dangerously out of control after Scarlet Witch messed with his mind and a longer cut of a vision when he was in the pool.

Stuff I wish was done or explained a little better, but not enough to spoil how much I enjoyed the movie :) Still 10/10 for me

It's hard for me to rate movies on a number scale. I kinda go, from the top:

Must see again.
Glad I saw it in the theater, must own it when it comes out.
Glad I saw it in the theater/Wish I'd seen it in the theater.
Wish I'd waited till it was a rental/Glad I waited till it was a rental.
Saw it. Meh.
Sorry I saw it at all.
POS.

Avengers: Age of Ultron. Glad I saw it in the theater. Must own it when it comes out.

Liked the first one better, but I still enjoyed the character development of this over the first one, particularly Hawkeye.

There was one scene where they were all defending that one spot, showed them all fighting in the same frame, and it was wonderful. Completely artistic.
Really enjoyed the development of Hawkeye as a family man and a down-to-earth guy. ".... not a fan." ".... and I'm a guy with a bow and arrow." Just good stuff there.

Frost/Nixon (2008) - 8/10

Good movie. Could not get used to Frank Langella as Nixon, however.
I don't get out to the movies much, so, my reviews will be all "oldies"

Perfect Sense-Strange sort of sci-fi movie from 2012. Didn't love it, but it was all right. 3/5

Mad Max Fury Road

Believe the Hype!

Mad Max Fury Road is fantastically frenetic. Movie will become the textbook on how to do nonshaky cam - widescreen glorious action scenes.

It carries an emotional thread almost solely through action. Amazing.

Charlize Theron owns the movie.

Need to see it again - so much action to process. See it in 2D if you can - 3D adds nothing.

About Time (thank you for recommending it danie ): 9/10 LOVED IT. Ads made it look like a standard RomCom (most of which I can take or leave), but in reality it was a solid 'people movie', full of thoughts, humor, and a GREAT cast. Even Rachel McAdams did okay, and she's not much of an actress, though she is cute as a button. Best performance from Bill Nighy I've seen, and he's a favorite. Just a thoroughly enjoyable movie. I checked it out at the library and now I want my own copy--I know I'll want to watch it again.
Just saw this, skimom. (My tags don't show up in my alerts.)
I'm so glad you liked it--I felt exactly the same way about it. Rachel Mc can get on my nerves, but she worked well in this movie. Couldn't agree more about Bill Nighy. Didn't it seem it was based on a book due to the writing and concepts presented? I, too, will need my own copy.

Okay, I'll give Johnny Guitar (see earlier other post) a three outta five, dropping two points for having Joan Crawford in the lead. Cant stand 'er, never could--not even her younger flapper days, no ma'am. And this has nothing to do with the whole Mommie Dearest wire-hanger kid beating psycho allegations; I just don't dig her acting.

Shoulda had Marlene Dietrich, or Rossalind Russell, or Barbara Stanwyck--one of those. Still a good flick. Nick Ray is the man.
