Do you all think if we lessened the amount of pages we cover per week, we'd have more people willing/able to participate?
Maybe - I find I have so many things I need to do at home and with working full time, by the time Friday night rolls around I feel like I just want to "crash".

I don't know... its fun to guess what will happen after a certain page but its also tough to stop reading at a certain page so you don't know what happens later in the story lol. I think Kurbin said he has a hard time putting a book down after he's started reading it.

That's totally understandable :)

I havn't started The Sun Dog yet but if I get it read by Friday, I'm willing to wait to discuss it until other people who wish to discuss it have had a chance to read it :)

You only need to read the first eight chapters by Friday, if that helps. We didn't have a discussion last Friday, so it's a catch-up week. :)

I PMed VL earlier this week to let her know it would probably be a good idea for the Discussion Group to be on hiatus until her return. It has been three weeks now since anyone's been able to attend. I have done my best to keep it alive in her absence. I admit I haven't actively promoted it very forcefully, but that was because I was a placeholder for VL and didn't want to overstep by taking any aggressive leadership. I'm sure the fault lies with me and for that I am sorry.

My whole life (since the 7th grade at least) I've yearned to be a part of a Stephen King book club. I've never met anyone in my real life who has loved SK's work as I do. This site has been a godsend and the Reading & Discussion Club/Group was a dream come true for me. I hope and pray it will thrive someday - it kept me reading through some very dark times and for that I am eternally grateful.

Thank you everyone who has supported me in VultureLvr45's absence. I'll never forget your kindness and I pray she will return soon.
