I agree with y'all about Tremors and Jaws. Remaking either one would be like remaking Gone With The Wind. I love Tremors. I've probably watched it more times than any other movie - course that might be because it's aired real often on Syfy lol.

Here are my five...
1. They Live (1988)
2. The Warriors (1979 - I hope It's ok to be off by one year lol)
3. Stand By Me ((1986)
4. The Blues Brothers (1980)
5. Poltergeist (1982)

I don't think it's a coincidence that each remake/reboot/reimagining done in the last few years has underperformed. It's boring. I can't think of a single one that sounds even remotely interesting.
I hope history will be kinder to Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes - Tim Roth owns that film, just as Charlton Heston owned the original.
