I remember, watched it live in science class. Our science teacher always brought in the library TV to watch the space shuttle launches. I remember realizing something was wrong by his facial expression. Very, very sad day. We all walked around school in a daze the rest of the day.

I am old enough to remember getting all excited because the media class were wheeling in the film projector. When you saw the media guy, you knew it was going to be an easy day.
Can't remember if we were watching the launch live or if it was the news reports immediately after but do remember I was clearly in denial thinking it couldn't be possible that they hadn't survived--that somehow they were going to recover the capsule and they would be injured but still be okay.

Just returned to the dorm after a class,and found my friends glued to the tv,watching the rerun of the accident..it was all very surreal,as I remember everyone was very subdued that day at the caf during lunch and dinner..
