I am an archaologist by trade. Not specialized in early native american cultures but still. They have some of the solemnity that characterizes some Toltec stone sculpture. Please don't take my word for a definite clue, just thought it might help in what direction to search a specialist.
But if i would be forced to make a guess i say Toltec. The Toltecs were a Mexican Civilisation, Post Olmecs but pre Aztecs. About 900-1200 they were at their height.
