Hello Mr King et al,

I'm French. I retired since a few days and I can now start to do what I desired since so many years: write novels.

I registered onto a French speaking Writers Forum on the Internet Ecrire un roman • Page d’index and heard about your book, "On writing a memoir of the craft".

In chapter 5 of the Writing section in this book, you suggest to make an exercise and post on your site the result for you to see "how it went".

So, here I am. :cool2:

Thanks.
Problem is, my mother tongue is French, so I do not consider posting novels in English, you see. =D
My main objective, when coming here, is to exchange on "On writing a memoir of the craft" to become a professional writer, now that I have time.
I write stories since I'm 15, and after I read my first Clancy novel back in 1986, I said to me : "I would love to write such books, to the glory of the French Special Forces, to please myself, my Readers and make kown our Commando Paratroopers and our GIGN (who demonstrated in recent sad circumstances its efficiency in Paris three weeks ago).
I'm actually a former military, and the writing of technothriller novels ala Clancy for the French speaking part of the Galaxy up to the restaurant at the end of the universe is my objective.
I know, water will pass under the bridges, as we say over here, before I succeed, if I do. :cool2:
Please help.

I think what you were asking was would it be possible for you to post your (On Writing) submission (as indicated by Stephen in his book) to our website so that he may give you critique?
I'm very sorry but he is no longer reading these as this was a long time ago after the first publication.

You've indicated that you won't be writing in English, but I'm sure Stephen must have other French fans that stop in here from time to time, so if you would like to provide us with a link to your work, perhaps other French speaking people will get to read your story in this way?

Please make yourself at home here at any rate, there is much to read and many people from all around the world to interact with. :)
