My thoughts - John (Leeds, H3, The United Kingdom)’s review of Norse Mythology

Going to read Barker's The Thief of Always next, then I might pick up the 2nd in the Odd Thomas series.
I really want to re-read IT sometime soon, definitely before the new movie lands.

Just finished Thief.
I loved it, particularly Marr, Jive and Rictus. Great mental imagery with those 3, especially Marr in the basement!!

Gaiman's hit and miss for me. Loved Stardust, Neverwhere and American Gods, the rest...meh!

Is Gaiman's new book a novel or a collection? I really like his work but I can't get into short stories no matter who's writing them.

Is Gaiman's new book a novel or a collection? I really like his work but I can't get into short stories no matter who's writing them.

It's a collection of old Norse stories, about the Gods Thor, Odin, Loki and all.
It has a definite start, middle and ending overall though.

Yeah I really enjoyed it too.
As I said in the review, it felt very un-Gaiman-like to me at first.
But it really grew on me, towards the end I didn't want it to finish!!
