Hello my name is Daphne, I first picked up a Stephen King book at the age of 9. The first book I read is Pet Cemetery if you care to know. Here I am 36 years later, I just finished reading Revival. I must say I'm not the least bit happy about it! I felt like I was reading something written in a pressure cooker having to be done quickly so as to get it to print by the deadline. Mr. King, with all due respect I must ask you...what happened?

Welcome to the Board!

Stephen does not personally respond to questions posted here but you might want to read other readers' comments in the thread for Revival as you will find those who agree with you and others who do not. Revival does seem to be one of those books that people have a love it or hate it response to and not much in between.

I've been a SK fan for a long time and there are only a small handful I didn't care for so its easiest to say I enjoy everything Stephen King (with a few exceptions)

Each book brings to the reader something different in they way they enjoy or dislike that book. I've also found that re reads, at later times, often brings about a different feel. Didn't enjoy Cell first time I read it, but enjoyed it a few years later. Hope to see more of your posts.

Hello Daphne
Welcome to SKMB. Hope you like it here... keep posting!

As for Revival.. perhaps try what Spidey said and read it again in a few years. It isn't at the top of my list but I personally enjoy reading all his books. What are your favorites? Mine are the DT series and IT
