Been really upset these last 24 hours, yesterday my dog a boxer named bob had a seizure in the back yard and stopped breathing,i put him in the back of a friends car and did cpr while she drove to the animal hospital nor i or the vets could bring him back.
My heart is completely broke. Im 41,divorced not able to have kids cause i had cancer so that dog was my child. Its so unfair an animal so loving, protective, and loyal gets so few years to live. If anyone here believes in prayer please say one for me. Thabk you.

lowman, you are held in prayers and good thoughts. Hold true to your heart the good memories of Bob. May you find inner peace.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

It is so very hard to lose one of our furry friends. They are family for us animal lovers. I wish there was more that I could do for you then to type these words. I wish I could give you a real hug but this one will have to suffice: ((((((((lowman)))))))) There will always be an ache in your heart for your beloved dog, but it's there to remind you of the good times that you had with Bob. Someday the pain will be gone and you will be able to smile at the good times you shared. Stay strong. We're here for you when you need us.

I'm very sorry. One day you'll be with him again.
This is my firm belief based not on desperation but on a rational belief in a loving God who holds all eternity in His amply strong and trustworthy hands. If we are to expect in Heaven mansions and streets, which on Earth never had life, we must expect everything which had temporal life here to have it eternally there. Further, if we expect Heaven to be so personal that we'll have our own parents, children, and other loved ones there, we must expect to find there everything else we ever loved including plants, trees, rivers, clouds, and especially animals, which God considers only a little less so than He does us.

So, lowman, I say you'll see your dog again, safe and sound and happier than ever.
