So, in the original story the description of the Rita Hayworth poster does not seem to match the poster that was used in the film......?

"Rita is dressed - sort of - in a bathing suit, one hand behind her head, her eyes half closed, those full, sulky red lips parted"

I would really like to find out what poster Steven was thinking of when he descibes it in the book? as opposed to one shown in the film!

Does anyone know?

THanks

...welcome!...IMO, the one used in the film is probably among the most famous/popular of her posters, but below may be the one Steve had in mind...

i know that this particular image was used on both original postcards and posters back in the day... it's also the poster i always envision when i read the story~
...considering your beauty, I'd pay good money to see you re-create the pose...and I mean that in a totally non-creepy-very complimentary way.....

awwwwww......thanks, bud! i actually recreated the Marilyn pose (which is quite similar to this one) for an artist friend of mine many a moon ago. Alas, we lost touch long ago and the image was lost when my old PC took the big dirt nap.
