We have this thing in my town called Avenues of Art. Every year the city sprinkles pieces of art around town, and they're usually displayed for a year. Some of the more popular pieces are bought and find a permanent home here, others are sent on their way. This is a new piece for this year. I wanted to get my own picture of him, but he is on a very busy street, displayed next to the library entrance. Not really a safe place for me to get a picture, and right in front of him would be too close. So I found some on the web instead. The name of the piece is Storm's Brewing and the artist is Jeannine Young. But the first time I saw him, I saw Roland. Here he is, displayed in Loveland, Colorado. I hope he ends up having a permanent home here! The rope in the hand isn't exactly Roland, but as a whole, I think he could be! What do you all think?
