I have no love for Matthew McConaughey, not since I found out about his caged/canned hunting events. But then he is playing a very bad man (if he's signed) so I suppose it is apropos. It's not always easy to separate the artist from the person they are, but I try.
His casting is official--all contracts signed and in order. Same with Idris Elba.

McConaughey is a really good actor. I'm certain he's going to be outstanding in this. I would just never let him pet my cats.

I heard they were going to be changing his name to Jack. As long as they stick with Chambers, I'm fine with that, that's my surname too.
If they change it, WHY? Change just to change is dumb. (and you notice M's Mod avoided answering me again?) But the rumoured change of Jake/Jack's family history is worse.
Again though, since they are starting and ending in the middle, does any of it matter?

Since there can be no rhyme or reason to changing Jake to Jack, one can only surmise one of two things:
1. It isn't happening and the name Jack was part of the Diamond City cover to keep the casting on the down low.
or
2. The script has some stupid Hollywood funny lines written in, like "you don't know Jack" or like nonsense.
Being optimistic, I'm going to hope for the former rather than the latter.
