That descriptive caught my attention. With all the detail they gave about the area, they might as well have just posted a big sign (or the address): "Here is where Stephen King and staff work!" Seemed a bit negligent to me.
I tried my hardest to find the office when I was there. The GPS lead me around fro awhile and finally ended me at the Target. I ran into some people from Oklahoma that now live in Florida but were staying in Orono on vacation. The coincidence was shocking.

I asked a local if they knew where the office was and they gave me an address that turned out to be the post office in Orono. It's really small.

Because of the neighborhood where it is located (not a gated community) and the fact that there have been so many pictures posted of it, they have very little privacy at their Bangor home. On the other hand, their house in southern Maine does not carry that baggage with it so they can live their lives without having to deal with the "business" end of it.
Both the houses in Bangor are stunningly beautiful though. What really impressed me was the landscaping. Whoever does it deserves a raise.

Just remember you asked for it. I doubt very much I will have regretted any of it. I cannot begin to tell you how totally disgusted I am with the Republican party at the moment. They have done virtually NOTHING to advance the welfare of the American people for decades and particularly in the past 6 years and all of a sudden now that they have control they decide they can magnanimously work together to move the country forward??!!! What a bunch of bleeping bullcrap. They have been nothing but petty little tyrants throwing a temper tantrum when they could not have their complete way and their so-called solutions for every single one of the pressing issues our country is facing are so short-sighted that even if they do ram them down our throats (it works both ways, eh?) we will see the results soon enough when the only thing it does is push the problems off for later. That's the Republican solution to just about everything. Try to make budgets look good now without any bleeping foresight into how the consequences of that affects anything else. But military spending for defense contractors? Hey, no problem, sky's the limit. And since when has McConnell or Boehner been saying they would FIX Obamacare? The only words coming out of their mouths about that are to REPEAL Obamacare but where and what is their plan for an immediate replacement if that's what they in fact do if their plan is to actually provide a workable health care system for the American people instead of some watered down system that does nothing but benefit businesses? This has been the last straw for me and I will NEVER vote for a Republican again even if it means I have to write in DAFFY DUCK on the ballot because there is only a Republican running.
Whoa, like a duck on a junebug! :)

And if she doesn’t, I hear tell she's not averse to tying you down and regaling you with liberal philosophies. :)
Oh no worries, she knows she doesn't need to educate me. I came to those conclusions on my own once I grew up. It happened in the parking lot outside a MENSA meeting where I decided I was too dumb to be so self important about what a test battery had said about me. I left and went to see "Dances with Wolves" at the drive-in. I was, however smart enough to bring my own popcorn. You can save a buttload of money that way! Now there's an economic plan... reduce the cost of refreshments at the movies and the disposable income of the middle class will skyrocket!

To the thread, I havent read the interview yet. I will do so and share what thoughts I might have. But, I always love what SK has to say in his interviews or stories. He is truly one of the bright spots in American cultural history and has a mind I aspire to.
He even talks politics, and a note about the recent election (so I guess you can say the political comments here kinda applies). :)

Who the heck can afford to go to the movies anymore?
