I try never to go to ikea. It is so big that you almost get lost and get a headache. I always know exactly what i want, buy it and nothing else and hurry away to escape if i must buy something.
I am not sure about Sweden, but here they give you a map and have arrows projected onto the floor to show you which way to go. And lots of "You are here" kiosks along the way. The cafeteria is right at the top of the escalator at the front door in the Tampa location, so I never get lost finding it! And the hazelnut chocolate bars... I could eat myself to death with those.

Oh, it is wellendowed with signs telling you were you are. Its just that in really big stores i feel a tad uncomfortable. Supermarkets are fine because there are many small stores but something really big with 5 different levels and several elevators and only one store just gets too big for me.

True. But I did buy a 2 pack of 100-watt equivalent LED bulbs for $5 last time I went. :)

And the garlic press they sell is the best one I've ever used.

So (catching up) "Ikea" is a department store? (I have been wondering every time I see it mentioned somewhere. I'd thought it might be some electronic brand/product.  )
Enormous store, Flake. It is harder to mention things they don't have then things they do have. They even have a playroom for the small so yoo can drop them there and play while you go shopping. The thought of course is that you gonna shop more if you don't hear voices saying i wanna go home all the time. They have conceivable object when it comes to home decorating. Furnitures, kitchen tools, paintings, carpets, tapestries. But if you wanna buy computers and cellphones you have to go elsewhere. Started in a store in southern Sweden and now is worldwide, Watch up Flake, it is only a question of time before they infect your country too!!!

Kurben - They are beautiful! Congratulations to your country on your upcoming royal wedding. :)

Don't you also have a Princess Leah, named after Princess Leia from Star Wars? Or am I thinking of some other European monarchy?

FlakeNoir - We just got an IKEA here in the last couple of years. It's pretty awesome. Come visit and I'll take you there.

We also have Trader Joe's now, too. Once we get In Out Burger there we be no reason for Colorado to feel inadequate on the national stage as far as chain stores are concerned...

Have you been to the Tampa store yet Spidey? We go about once a month to get tea light candles and other little trinkets. My oldest recently moved into an apartment in Old NE St Pete. We got her a desk that fold outs and is wall mounted. Perfect for a studio apartment.
Never been- you know me, the hermit. Feed store and grocery. Should make it an "adventure" one weekend !
