Did anyone see anything about this today? I don't really know many details, but I just took a look on Twitter and saw this random tweet from @AmeliaFrogPond: "Some people attempted to break windows, while others attempted to pry open the doors." Blaine is a pain. @MBTA #RedLine. Even though the situation is a serious one, it made me smile.

No one knew anyone on it, did they? Or was anyone ON it? What happened?

...another murderous moron....and way to go CBS News in the article!...Pollack said a full-service break and hand break are required to be engaged before a train goes into bypass mode....is that anything like BRAKEfast....?:facepalm_smiley:

Double :facepalm_smiley: This is why proof readers and editors are so important. At least until spell checkers can identify homonyms and homophones.

Well, the train operator responsible for this little act of stupidity got canned. Rightly, so. On top of jeopardizing the lives of those on that train, as well as those of everyone else on the other Red Line trains that morning, he threw away an almost 30 year career in a cushy Union job that would have given him a pension and other retirement benefits. What a clown.
