From wikipedia:

In 1982, Dale Russell, then curator of vertebrate fossils at the National Museum of Canada in Ottawa, conjectured a possible evolutionary path for Troodon, if it had not perished in the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event 65 million years ago, suggesting that it could have evolved into intelligent beings similar in body plan to humans.

Maybe D.Russell's works will be useful for you.
Thank you. I found some some interesting reading on the subject.

There is an ancient intelligent reptilian race. They're not aliens though. They developed during the cretaceous period and went underground after that meteor (the one that caused the death of the dinosaurs) hit. They still live in the earth's subterranean caverns and seldom visit the surface. They're more lizard-like than crocodile or other reptile. Their chameleon abilities enable them to blend into their surroundings. You've probably seen one on the streets or at the library without knowing they weren't human.

I have heard other people say this as well.:hypnotysed:

Is opinion (of course, not scientific!) that in ancient times aliens visited our planet.
They were a reptilian race. But had possibility to transform their bodies. Aliens liked Earth. So for comfortable being and procreation on Earth they did one ruse. Aliens transformed their bodies in human ones. And by such way they mingled with us. Do you think it is possible?

Dear god....

Red just hides the blood. Because, oh yes, there will be blood. Ask Daniel Day Lewis.

And those busy-body Mennonites get all God-like deciding who lives and who dies. They have a lot of nerve showing up in their Studio 54 togas. (Yes, I know it's the metrons. I didn't want to insult any Metrons we have on the board so I changed it to Mennonites to protect the innocent.)

Well. you have insulted me. My family has been Metron for 5 generations, and we are proud of it. Excuse me whilst I go and shed my skin.......

Fiction or are some sources? I ask seriously...

Mostly fiction :) Even advanced chameleon abilities wouldn't allow for shape-shifting. They merely blend into the background preventing us from seeing them. When you're outside, do you ever feel a touch or think you've brushed against something but when you look around, there's nothing there?

Has anyone ever seen a study on where some of the most intelligent of the dinosaurs, like the Troodon, might be now if they had evolved rather then gone extinct?

Y'know what? Since the troodon lived during the last eleven or twelve years of the cretaceous period, they had plenty of time to evolve and invent. They could have built great civilizations. They could have even created weapons of mass destruction. Maybe their wars, rather than a comet, was the reason for the dinosaur's (and their own) extinction.

Note: I don't think the troodon would have needed to evolve into a somewhat human form (which would have taken millions of years). Man's need for protective clothing and shelter helped man evolve but I don't think a hairless bi-pedal form is necessary to gain intelligence. Dolphins have no need for clothing or shelter.

Maybe unknown Creator some day wished intelligence would be in beings like human?
