My book club has entered a scarecrow contest. The name of our creation is the Scared Crone. We would like to use Stephen King's book "It" as a prop, with the Crone reading the book and hence very scared. Is there any problem with this? i.e. copyright infringement excetera excetera. Any advice is much appreciated.

....just my two cents worth....as long as no-one is profiting from the use of Steve's book as a prop-then I don't believe copyright infringement or proprietary value comes into play....
