One good scary movie is The Wicker Man. Christopher Lee, Britt Ekland, Edward Woodward, Ingrid Pitt. But see the original version from 1973, not the remake from 2011 or something like that.

Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte (until I saw it again as an adult).

Yeah, that scared me silly as a kid. That slow descent into the basement... Another one that scared me as a kid was The House On Haunted Hill with Vincent Price. My Mom and I started watching it -- I was 4 or 5, we were living in New Orleans -- and it scared it us so much that neither of us would get up to turn on the light as dusk fell. Then the neighbor knocked on the door! I think I may have wet myself :D

As an adult, the movie that has scared me so much that even thinking about it gives me the willies is the original Night of the Living Dead. Holy moley!!! :nightmare:

May the power of Christ compel you!!!!!! May the power of Christ compel you!!
Tery, you must be possessed by the demon Pazuzu! I hope my words have helped! ;;D

See, that demon is ruined forever in my mind because Professor Farnsworth from Futurama had a bird named Pazuzu. So when I hear that I hear his voice caterwauling "PAZUUUUUZUUUUUUU!!!!" as the bird flies away xD

Ooh, Silence of the Lambs anyone? I admit I've never seen it...is it worth a watch if one wishes to pee their pants?
Yes, by all means pee your pants! This film is a classic and should be required watching by anyone who's a horror fan. All performances are stellar. For someone who only has less than 15 minutes screen time, Anthony Hopkins created an unforgettable character that will live on in the halls of filmdom.

that dollhouse at the end of the street
I recently spent hours online looking for the one film that scared the he11 out of me worse than any other, back in the mid to late 90s and I could never find it! I went through tonsss of online serial killers hell looking for him, I remember what he looked like, a disgusting backwood hillbilly creep and he had a sidekick buddy, and it was a documentary film of re enactments and real footage on a VHS rental.

It was the one and only time, I ever ever felt physically shaken and went all through my house at 2 in the morning, closing any and all blinds, windows, curtains, door locks, that one really put me on the edge, I just cannot remember who it was! :icon_eek:

Hellz yes! Back in 2006, my family (plus daughter's friend) were on our way down to Disneyland via car. We stopped at a hotel and TSOTL was on TV that night. Neither of the girls had seen it so we watched. Good thing it was on TV... tones it down. They loved it, though.
