Which character from King's books have scared you the most, and why?

For me, it has to be Pennywise. I just hated the way he changed into what scared you the most, and the whole prospect of IT living in Derry for how ever many years.

No, there's no problem at all jfra! This happens all the time so we just merge new ones with old ones. No worries. Welcome to the board by the way if I haven't done that already.

Harold was pretty scary to me. I loved him in the way SK described his thoughts ....

He was a dangerous toy for the dark man.

I would say Pennywise. But yet I love that character. Just the idea of an evil clown.

With so many to choose from it's hard. But Flagg because he doesn't look evil.

The Nameless M-O-O-N - That spells Nameless

I've said before, books don't scare me, so if I had to pick one I'd say mordred gave me the creeps, especially in spider form.

I had a soft spot for a few of the baddies in the stand, including trashy, but I really liked Lloyd hendried, he is one of my favourite characters in the book.

Not so much the character, but the concept of parental Love/Loss that is tied into the character of Louis. The places that concept can take one are truly dark.

That little spider-boy in TDT creeped me out. So did all the owls in Bag of Bones (JK).

I agree! I found him more funny then scary, but I guess people may interpret him differently.
