I just had a really, really, scary dream. It was so real. I dreams that someone told me to do something i did not want to do. So i said so. Then he said that as long as i did not do what he wanted me to one too th for every day would fall out of my mouth. In the dream i had been picking out teeth for a week or a little more, 9 teeth in total when i Woke up. I was absolutely certain it was true. I thought about how it would go eating. It was not until i had put my fingers in my mouth to actually feel each tooth that i realized it was a dream. Took me at least ten minutes to get to that stage. And i still remember how i picked out a teeth and my mouth got emptier and emptier for every day . I could practically feel the places where my lost teeth had been. And it was all a dream...... What do you think old Freud would have made out of that one? And do you think it meant something? In that case what?

It's scary when you can't get out of a dream even while awake.

For what it's worth...

Yeah sorry Kurbs, I've had a strange week. Fingers go aflyin when I am on, without thought.
Sorry mods. :O_O:

Have you taken any new meds? Maybe a reaction?
This can cause vivid dreams
You don't have to answer, just a thought.
No, not really. took a pill against migraine but i have used that many years and it has never given me dreams before..
Thanks for the thought though. It is probably my head wrestling with the problem of what to write for the halloween story....

Common Stress Dream #1: Your Teeth Are Falling Out

Dream: You're going about your average dream day — jogging at the gym, manning a submarine, accepting the Academy Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Watching Netflix — when suddenly, your teeth just begin falling out of your mouth like it ain't no thing.

Meaning: Dream Moods notes that dreams where you lose teeth are typically associated with feelings of powerlessness and loss of control (on a personal note, I can recall a friend going through a very drawn-out divorce having these lost tooth dreams on the regular). They can also mean that you're worried about losing something, like a job or a relationship.

Solution: While there's often nothing proactive that you can do in overwhelming situations where you feel powerless, sometimes just being aware of your feelings — like that you're stressed out by how little control you have over some specifics of your life situation right now — can be helpful, and take some of the edge off.

Forgive me if this is too personal, but maybe losing your mom is just catching up to you. In my personal experience, it took nearly a year for the impact of losing my dad to hit me, and I've missed him more this year, seven years later, than I have since that first year. Loss is so personal, and we work it over in our minds in many different ways.

You might be right, i do miss her more and more..... I was also kind of wondering about the first part about the man that told me to do something i wouldn't do and it was because of this the teeth started falling. Thought it was a strange twist.....

Could I ask what the man wanted you to do? It's perfectly okay if you can't answer...dreams are seriously personal stuff. :)
Hope you're feeling better now. (((Kurben)))

Thats just it, in the dream it was never precisised. Also the man is very vague, typical dreamlike really. I very seldom has dreams that i remember and even more seldom with so many details.

I am always amazed how some people almost never remember dreams while others remember lots. I often remember many details of dreams. Not the beginning and usually not the end, but lots of middle stuff. Weird, right? I'd say three days a week or so, I remember parts from two or three dreams a night.

Maybe it's possible at some point you'll remember what the man wanted...maybe not. If you do, it might make the dream feel less...macabre (not quite the word I wanted) maybe.
