Does anyone have these and if so, what do you think of them? Of course they're going for a pretty penny these days on ebay but I love Glenn Chadbournes work. The stories are pretty good too
Wondering if they need to be added to the collection one day.....
...I have both volumes honey and they are fantastic...much more money than I normally spend, but worth the investment...they are beautifully done, and the artwork is some of his best...

 I was hoping that these were awful, hideous, terrible books! But alas, as I hadn't hoped, you talked me into it. A money spending I will go.....
(okay, I'm really secretly glad that you did. Thank you sir!)
Totally great books. Yeah they did cost abit but as GNGLTNT they are well worth it. Every collection should have them.

I have them...I got the first one for my birthday, haven't read it yet, it is leather-bound and signed. I got an everyday hardback copy of the second one...they are really cool, the art is ah-mazing! Totally add them to your collection!

I agree. Both books are great, especially if you like Glenn Chadbourne's work. I usually don't like graphic stories (which I guess these are) but I did enjoy them.

You seem to be one of the resident experts on here. What do you think of proofs? As stated above I'm having a hard time finding Volume 1 for under 300 bucks but several proofs have appeared. Unbound and no DJ's of course. Are they the actual book or are many changes made between these and the final printing?

I specialize in proofs of King's books. I have 122 US and 46 UK proofs, plus assorted manuscripts, hardcover advance reading copies, etc. Most of them have no changes with what is actually published, but occasionally there are some minor changes. Regarding CD's unbound proofs, I haven't really compared them to what was actually published. I doubt there were any substantial differences, though.

I do agree that the unbound proof of SOD Volume 1 seems a bit more scarce than some of the others, but they have appeared so recently that it's hard to make a determination of just how many of each book were distributed. Also, you have to remember that a large number of these went to SK collectors, who will probably hold on to them.

I'm still looking for the unbound proof of Doctor Sleep, which is the only CD unbound proof I'm missing.

Thank you for your input. And WOW to your proofs collection! I applaud you sir. The SD Vol 1 proofs seem to pop up more often than the actual book itself, and for a cheaper price that's why I was curious. I may end up settling on a proof rather than a final bound version.
