Sharon, do you still say eef for if? I notice that folks in sin Johns say eef even more so then they do in the outports lol. I took me a few years to take the e out of it.

Wow....you must be the exception. All my relatives from St. Johns said it like that...I did too but it was a little milder lol. When I get in with my newfie friends I tend to say me instead of my. I like the accent though. I have not lost it not wish to except for a few words here and there. It sounds lovely. I like the sorta Irish accent from St. Johns and the Irish coast.

The only people who seem to pick up on my being from Newfoundland are people who have lived there as well.
