1) the Valentines Day ep when Lucy and Carter are attacked by a patient. Out of the blue. Shocked me to bits. 2) the ep when Dr. Romano's arm is cut off by the helicopter. 3) When Clooney came back for a single scene, years after he left the show.

I think that show was the best at keeping shocking twists secret. There are probably more that I'm not remembering

I loved it, too, up until the last couple of seasons. They were weaker, but I still watched them (and they were still better than anything else on tv).

The television landscape is always changing. What shocked yesterday doesn't always shock today, but it caused me to wonder about something. Does everyone remember the first time they saw something on a television show that took them by surprise? It doesn't have to mean nudity or vulgarity but could be an unexpected plot twist or surprising loss of a favorite character. Please use spoilers. When Sofia came out of the barn with all of the walkers. That gutted me. I hadn't given up hope that they'd find her. Wow, what a surprise.

The Red Wedding. Need I say more? I was speechless on this finale. I honestly couldn't believe it. But it was awesome at the same time.
