USA Network series. It has some similarities to the movie "Shooter" with Mark Wahlberg, Danny Glover, and Ned Beatty, and that movie is a guilty pleasure of mine. (Mark Wahlberg is an executive producer for the TV show.)

It's a serial. Best to see from the start. We're watching it on Netflix, and we're hooked. Great characters, great action, the intrigue is, well, intriguing, and I'm hoping it keeps the pace up.

Kinda gritty in spots, like things are nowadays. But nothing overwhelming to us. We're watched the first five or six episodes, and if anyone replies to this with a spoiler, I'm sending Bob Lee after you. And you don't want that.

Okay. We just finished the first season on Netflix.

That was intense, that was gripping, that was good. We were wowed.

I tire of all the murder killing shows that are done over and over and over throughout the years. I wonder if there is some life imitating art based on all that violence I constantly read about. I've watched a lot in the past and I still watch some of them as they are good (Luther) but mostly it's the same old same old. I think if murder and killing happened at the rate TV leads us to believe we would not have such a large population. Just the Law and Orders, NCIS's, CSI's murder rates alone could wipe out a small country.

Shooter is pretty grim, no doubt.

Some violent movies I can take, others not so much. I'm not sure why. John Wick didn't faze me, but Logan was distasteful. Go figure. Obviously, we had no problems with characters getting mowed down in Shooter. Good drama, good characters.
