Oh I forgot my thirn question.

Payday bars seem to be writ large in SK's work. Are these real and if so tasty or are they the chocolate equivilent of Noz-A-La?
They're real. Salted peanuts rolled in caramel with a nougat-like center. Made by the Hershey company. The tag line on their site is Our nuts don't need chocolate.

I have not had one in years. They are kind of nasty.

I recall that SK changed the Payday bar to chocolate for some reason in the uncut version of 'The Stand'. I don't think they are around anymore, could be wrong.

BTW no one will ever need to explain to me what Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are as they are (well) known to me and I am experienced in deploying them.

I'm not much of a candy eater for the most part but these are my kryptonite. On Sunday, I bought two 12 oz.packages of the miniatures to put in the Christmas stockings for my daughters. They will now have half a bag each scattered in with the other stocking goodies. They can thank me later.

They were my kryptonite, too. Especially cold ones. Back in the day there were none of the evil minis. They should be illegal.

Sorry I missed this first time around.

Monty Python and Eddie Izzard are both highly rated here - I especially love Eddie Izzard (le singe est dans l'arbre) and have seen him a few times live. Benny Hill was well liked at the time but has fallen out of favour for being a bit lacking in political correctness, all the jokes about well ddeveloped young ladies running around scantily clad is kind of frowned upon over here now. I haven;t watched him for year but seem to remember enjoying it first time around in the 70s, standards change though - I can say honestly though that when I was a youngster I knew all the works to Benny Hill's "Ernie (and he drove the fastest milk-cart in the West.)

Sorry on "V for Vendetta" I've never seen it.
Benny Hill was like a god back in my 20's. And I modeled my nature based on the ethos presented in the show. :)

And for those not familiar with Benny Hill... This about sums him up.

"Benny Hill will always be the bastard stepchild of British sketch comedy. In a realm where The Goon Show and Monty Python's Flying Circus remain on pedestals, Hill is the bad boy looking up the skirts and down the blouses of passing ladies. His was a style born of vaudeville, a broad burlesque focused on breasts and butts." ~ Bill Gibron

Cool thread.

I watched a big fight on BuzzFeed regarding US bacon and UK bacon.

I think we consider the UK breakfast meat as...ham? Not bacon.

I don't care really. Fry it up, put it in a flour tortilla with some avocado and salsa and I'm good.

Owen Kyffin

Hey, sir!

Do ya'll have flour or/and corn tortillas?
