Good Saturday evening!

Just wanted to come in and touch base. Maybe I'll be non-sensical. Mayhap I'll sully. I can multi task so be non-sensical and sully?

Been watching/listening to the Republican debate. Kinda sorta. I had it on in the back ground while reading Stiff-The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers. (I read weird stuff.)

I watched Experimenter (In 1961, famed social psychologist Stanley Milgram conducted a series of radical behavior experiments that tested ordinary humans willingness to obey authority.) earlier today. I liked it.

And here's a Scully gif

Stiff is a good book. Read Jessica Mitford's The American Way of Death. I read a lot of books about death and the funeral industry. I just won The Good Death: The Exploration of Dying in America over at Librarything.

I've heard of Stiff but not the others. Does Librarything have as many giveaways as Goodreads?
No, the selection can be quite slim. But, I almost always get a book each month at Librarything. I wasn't having such good luck at Goodreads.

Everyone should read The American Way of Death. It will definitely have you thinking differently about the funeral industry.

Hi, Dana Jean!

Thank you. I'll see if I can get those books.

I read, Does This Mean You'll See Me Naked ? I enjoyed it but you have to have a ... certain...mentality? to read the information. For instance;

According to this mortician

The only way to prepare a body, for viewing, that has been decapitated you get a long broom-stick type dowel and *stick* it on the head and then *thread* it through the spinal column.

I find it fascinating.

Hugs!

I'll try to remember the names of some books I read a few years ago. You may like them too.
