Looks like Snopes got Snoped.
Snopes has gained popularity as the final word in all kinds of arguments since people believe it to be unbiased and neutral. But over the past couple of years people started asking questions when ‘Snopes’ was proven wrong in a number of their conclusions.
So is Snopes as objective as it seems? Or just another opinion site?

I don't go to snopes for political it religious opinions. Is there any evidence that fact-type things there are incorrect?

The problem with the average person investigating on the Internet is they find out how dangerous Dihydrogen Monoxide is. They look for something with a pretty picture and assume that means it's correct.

Honestly, it reads like someone got their pet theory or rumor debunked and isn't happy about it.

I have no doubt Snopes gets things wrong. About everyone does. But even assuming it's a husband-and-wife team Googling (and from looking at the content, it's hard to believe it's only that), it's a place that saves me a lot of Googling. And Snopes for me started out as an urban legend debunker, not a political debunker.

If I go to Snopes now and see the "25 Hottest," there's three rumors about Obama debunked, which you'd expect as the President to have that stuff going on, and one rumor about Sarah Palin debunked. The rest are urban legends types of entries.

I think I smell sour grapes.

This has been going around the internet for (literally) years, and is easily debunked.
