So now this work oppurtunity ran itself out. Company couldn't afford to keep me hired any longer. Well see what will turn up. July is unfurtunately a rather dead month when it comes to work. The people making that kind of decisions are mostly on vacation this time of year. But i am used to this. Since i worked as an archeologist mostly i have mostly worked on projects. Half a year to three years long. when one project is over you start sniffing after next thing. No security in that of course but thats life. It has always resolved itself somehow before. Hopefully it does so again......

Good luck and I hope you find something worthwhile that will pay the bills - with your experience and knowledge you should find a good position/job somewhere down the line!:thumbs_up:

I would invite you over here, but it looks like our big local tourist attraction has already been dug up in the past:

History | The Forks

(Can you believe it used to be covered by railways?) :biggrin2::facepalm_smiley:

I recently watched a documentary on the Gnadenhutten massacre of 1755 in a little town in Pennsylvania I lived in for 18 years. They have been trying to find the location of the settlement and scene of the massacre, for years now... to no avail, and noted they will try again in the future. I thought to myself… I bet Kurben could probably find it. It’s got to be located in a 2 mile stretch along the Mahoning Creek.

Good luck for the job search!
First thing came to mind do they have unemploymend benefits in Sweden? Of course I thought this in German. :a11:
They do, for a certain amount of days you are entitled to about 70% of your pay up to a certain maximal sum. After that i don't really know. There is something called Phase Three but don't know exactly what the conditions and what you get out of it.

Do you pay for the excavation?

So basically you get the summer off? Hey look at it this way - lots of time to enjoy the good weather while searching for a new job :encouragement::snowman::tounge:
