Silly me . . . thinking nobody was going to make me cry harder than David Gates today.

I'll never learn.

Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same
It dont matter to me
If you take up with someone who's better than me.
Because your happiness is all I want
For you to find.
Peace, your peace of mind.

The Portuguese love theme from Love Actually wrecks me every time I hear it. I can totally relate to the initial slowness of approaching love, and then when both parties admit to emotional revelations.

What follows is the actually "falling in love", that period of time where emotions come at you with the speed of vivacissimo and become layered so thickly they're like honey in January...

...and when the ritueno occurs after that first "I love you" and the dust settles, a living, breathing third entity created by both people stands true on its own.

Pain Pain Pain! Nothing worse. Then you add those songs and you're crying like a baby.
I remember listening to Journey (Faithfully) and balling uncontrollably.

This is on my YT Anni M channel, uploaded by yours truly. I have love this song since I was in my teens...

Talented family...and a brief bio about Tim and his poor son ...
Timothy Charles "Tim" Buckley III (February 14, 1947 – June 29, 1975) was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. His music and style changed considerably through the years; his first album (1966) was mostly folk, but his subsequent albums incorporated jazz, psychedelia, funk, soul, avant-garde and an evolving "voice as instrument" sound. Though he did not find commercial success during his lifetime, Buckley is admired by later generations for his innovation as a musician and vocal ability. He died at the age of 28 from a heroin overdose, leaving behind his sons Taylor and Jeff, the latter of whom later went on to become a musician as well.

Most everything off Blood On the Tracks will tug at me one way or another, but this song -- specifically designed to tug at your heart -- just blows me away every time I hear it.

Because, you see . . . you're not going to see her, and neither am I.
