Aw C'mon. LOVE rap, the Eagles, and I could never get tired of Freddy Mercury's voice...
You just need a lil Eminem when you're angry, and you'll grow to love rap.

I'll never love (c)rap. I really can't stand it. :barf:

Queen get played to death here in the UK. Well, they do on the radio station I listen to. I was never much of a fan back in the day either to be honest.

Any Punk Rock Band post-1990. I love older Punk stuff like Black Flag, Bad Brains, Minor Threat , etc etc. But all the stuff that came out in the 90's and onward is like a watered down version. Same look and sound without the energy or messages. How it ever went from Dead Kennedys to Sum 41 I'll never know, SMH

You could basically say the same thing about any rap post -2000 as well. I liked the rebellious energy of the 90's stuff, some of those guys were pretty good writers. If you took the words to a song like 2pacs "Brendas Gotta Baby" and printed them on a sheet of paper, then passed them along to somebody who hates rap you could pass it off as a poem without them ever knowing it. I've done it to people just to amuse myself, it works. Since 2000 and upward though, you have to be borderline brain dead to listen to the "Lyrics" of that stuff.

Going back to the '60s and '70s, the list is too long.

"Honey" by Bobby Goldsboro and "Julie" by Bobbie Sherman come to mind, but they're random appearances. There's an army of choices out there that are earworms that make me go Nooooooooooo..... when they spontaneously combust in my consciousness.
Boo hiss grandpa! Bobby Sherman is divine. ;;D

He may be divine, just as I still think Britney Spears is pretty (if damaged).

But a song that goes....

Julie, Julie, Julie, do you love me?
Julie, Julie, Julie, do you care?
Julie, Julie, are you thinking of me?
Julie, Julie, will you still be there?

.... is an understandable target as a "bad song," even if delivered by a divine singer. :)

If I never again hear Sonny and Cher singing "I Got You Babe" I'll be alright. They did the mash! They did the monster mash! It was a graveyard smash! They did the mash! Though I liked the sound of the laboratory bubbles. Soup's on!

Yikes so it didn't just suck, it sucked big time! :facepalm_smiley::thumbs_down:

Yep. Though being fair, the early 80s were pretty much wall-to-wall crap over here, so a lot of people seized on anything that seemed 'fun'.
Though songs by Mr Blobby and Bob the Builder have also made number 1 since then (iirc keeping Eminem's 'Stan' off top spot in the latter case), so...

One song I can't listen to anymore is by one of my favourite bands. 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'. Burn it, smash it, I don't care, just don't make me listen to it again.
'Come As You Are' was a better song anyway.
