Hi. I am a high school theatre teacher. My students want to perform Sorry, Right Number as part of an evening of short plays. Can anyone tell me who owns the performance rights to the play? We have it in a collection of plays in a book entitled DRAMA for Reading and Performance, published in 2000 by Perfection Learning. According to the acknowledgements page, performance inquiries ahould be directed to Penguin Putnam publishing, but the title is not to be found on their permissions website. Also tried to contact Perfection, but apparently the book is no longer part of their inventory, so I am coming up blank. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the site. :) I've left an alert for Marsha to get back to you on this.

The rights may have been sold when it was done as a commercial project, so I would have to check to see if Stephen still owns the stage rights.
