Crispy or floppy - how do you like your's?

I'm a crispy bacon lover. I love how the fat gets all hard and crunchy and the grease sort of caramelizes - there's nothing as good as crispy bacon.

HOWEVER, my husband and 3 children like what I call "floppy" bacon. I have to take their portions out before I finish mine (I cook the bacon in the oven). How do you even eat floppy bacon? You can't pick it up without it flopping down on your wrist. My bacon stands alert.

That's not crispy enough. i like mine near caramelized.

Floppy, but not TOO floppy.

I don't like my bacon to break into a million pieces when I eat it. I like to have some juiciness to it.

(I also like my French fries floppy!)

I prefer mine crispy but not burnt. But l will eat floppy if that's my only option. Hey, it's bacon!

I've been trying turkey bacon. It's not bad as a supplement - like to chop up into eggs or over a salad or in a sauce or wrap. As stand-alone bacon... um, no.

I have not tried turkey bacon. I don't think I'd like it. It needs pork fat.

I am picky about what bacon I buy. The stuff in the supermarkets is wet....they add water to make it weigh more. Real bacon is dry. I get mine at a meat shop....then fry is up nice and crispy.

I'll bring some jalapenos stuffed and wrapped in bacon.....we can grill 'em till they're crispy!!!
