Kurben, I'm sorry you had to endure such meanness, and for so long too.

Where I teach, there seems to be quite a bit of bullying (middle school). When you are ready, I think it would really help some kids to hear a successful adult's story. If you ever need an objective reader, I'm available! :)

If you think it would help to express it, do so.

Just from my personal experience, before I was a year old on this board, I was enjoying reading here about people's lives, and I started a thread, "Personal Story, or Stories." I just thought it would be cool to read stories of people's lives. I wrote one of my own, about a childhood friend and I blowing up a cistern, and it morphed into a seven-part history of my time with him. Many decades later, I still feel the pain of his loss, but writing all that out really did help - and it felt like I did a deserved service to him, for the world (at least this little corner of it) to get to know him.

From my standpoint, your story deserves to be told, the world should know your own story, or stories, better, and if you're comfortable tossing it out there, you should.

At work, last week, One of my Bosses read a novella i wrote while in university. It was based entirely on my experience in school. I was mobbed by my fellow students for eight years, from i was 8 until i was 15 years old, and this writing was my way of getting it out of my system. Now he thought it was really good and that i ought to do something with it. He mentioned a speech at workplaces or schools or trying to get it published. If I wanted too of course... I am still in two minds about it, it is very personal but it also important that people take it serious which sometimes they dont, probably because it is difficult to imagine how it can be if you Havent experienced it yourself.
Anyway im still thinking about it. As a start im gonna digitalize it, it was written before computers so all i have is a copy or maybe two of it. Do you have any thoughts? Feels better just writing about it to you, my friends.

Whatever you decide to do sounds good to me.

Not exactly the association i had in mind when i used the word. ... . I used it as a term for constant bullying over many years including assault, knifewounds and the destruction of proberty like books and clothes. But that is just the more active parts, then there is the isolation of the person subjected to it. From playing and everything else school is supposed to be. I always think the Losers were extremely lucky because they at least had several friends.
....I was an only child Kurben, and isolated/bullied....I know the pain and soul searing anguish that goes with it.....it lasted until I hit GNT height and started asserting myself.....I often wished for a tight circle of friends like the mis-nomered "Losers"....
