Never saw Hellraiser. It strikes me that the movie and ST-TNG were somewhat contemporary, although I'm willing to be corrected. Was this "Pinhead" a cyborg?

Destroy one, destroy a ship, and the entire culture focuses on you. The collective either assimilates you or destroys you. It was a terrifying concept for an adversary.

Yeah. '60s science fiction brought to TV. The concept was great. The execution was a bit painful.

Why did they have to send a whole ship in and implode the engines? Why couldn't they just catapult in a jar of antimatter?

There is a model,and a closeup of the tv news cameraman that was turned into a Cenobite,incorporating his camera into his noggin..pretty gruesome movie,I had no desire to see any of the followups..

You are right,he did enjoy the heart! Good old Tarzan,he was fashionably eating raw meat before it was the rage..

I just saw that episode of Star Trek over the weekend,can't remember if they addressed why your idea wouldn't have worked,it seems though that they had to have it piloted for some reason..you definitely would have been an asset to the bridge though,you and Spock could have solved most of the messes they were always getting themselves into..

Also I forgot to respond to your first line.. No Pinhead was not cyborg he was a demon.. I forget what his real name is Pinhead is just what he was known as in popular culture.. Not a very pleasant fellow.. Hellraiser was released in 1987..
