Star Trek: Renegades is a continuation of the Star Trek universe, featuring some pretty familiar faces. Chekov from the original, Tuvok, Icheb (borg kid), Admiral Paris (Tom's dad) and Dr. Zimmerman from Voyager and assorted cameos.
Another familiar face is Grant Imahara of Mythbusters fame.
Another thing I find highly interesting is that one of the characters (antagonist, presumably) is a direct descendant of Kahn Singh. I prefer to think of her as the progeny of Ricardo Montalban's Kahn, rather than Cumberbatch's. If they use any flashbacks, I hope it's the former they choose.
I'm pretty excited about this project. The film was funded entirely by the people involved, and by donations from fans. I put it here in the TV section instead of the movies section because this film is a pilot for a series being pitched to CBS. I really hope it gets picked up. And I REALLY hope that other Star Trek alum jump on board.
