Faye says Stephen told her when she was pregnant with their now grown daughter that he was glad she was carrying a daughter because he didn't think he would be able to stop himself from molesting a son.

If this is true, she's just as bad as he is. And if it's not true and she's making it up to try to make him look bad, it still makes her look just as bad as she wants us to believe he is.

When the story first started to leak, it sounded like she had recently found out about his wayward behavior, and left him. Anyone can understand that.

But then it was revealed that she's known a couple of years and may be holding this over his head to get more of a settlement in their divorce. Um, okay, she seems to be a little less of a sympathetic character, but she's still the good guy compared to him.

But, now she sounds like she's been fully aware that her husband has been stalking children for years, and she's been fine with that because...? She liked the money and status? She didn't think it was her problem? What the poop?
Exactly. She's been sitting on this info for how many years?
I find that statement wonky anyway, because molesters tend to have "types" and Collins only confessed to inappropriate behavior with girls.

Yeah, I'm not sure what to think. There is no way to look at this case that isn't ugly.

Part of me wants to hope that she's made up this whole story and he has never hurt anyone. That the shattered victims we can't help but imagine are just that, imaginary.

At the same time, the idea that she has made this all up isn't comforting either. This could happen to anyone. Every day that you wake up and go about your day, it's because no one has decided to open their mouth and tell horrifying lies about you. They don't have to kill you to ruin your life.

In this case, we're dealing with one or the other of these types of people. Or, to really make your skin crawl, both.

I can handle horror, because I don't really expect to come across a haunted car or a clown in the sewers. I can sit back and lose myself in the story, knowing I can always find my way out.

But this situation makes my stomach hurt.

Stephen Collins told his wife just before she gave birth to their daughter ... he was happy it wasn't a boy because he wasn't sure he could resist having oral sex with him ... this according to the wife, but we're told Collins says it's a flat out lie.

Faye Grant sent an email to Collins last year -- after he disclosed he had molested and/or exposed himselfto 3 young girls. In the email, she wrote:

"The comment you made just before I gave birth to our daughter when you said you hoped we didn't have a little boy, because 'you just didn't know if you could keep his little penis out of your mouth' was indication enough that you were sick ..."

Grant goes on to regretfully say, "I should have followed my gut then, and then again 14 years ago, and kicked your ass to the curb."

One of the victims comes forward.
At one point, I had commented that Stephen had every reason to believe the tape would be kept confidential. I was in error. He didn't know there was one. His (ex) wife taped it secretly. That means that those questions were leading on purpose, and that she only ever intended for it to be for blackmail to get more money out of him.
There is no excuse for what he did. I am not defending him. But man, his wife is a piece of work all on her own. She's at least as bad as he is, recording a blackmail tape and sitting on it just to get money out of him.

Oh man, I just saw this. I was creeped out. And you could tell the interviewer was too.

Too little, Too late dude. Pay your price.

I agree with what you are saying about the wife. But, God knows what she knows and we don't

Well, here's the question. He admits that he had inappropriate contact with a girl (he put her hand on him) once, what, 30 and 40 years ago. And that he exposed himself to a girl twice. And that nothing of the kind has happened since. He's remorseful and regretful. So does a predominantly Christian society accept his regret and forgive him? Can/should he go to jail for something that happened that long ago? Or do they continue to condemn? Me, personally, I'd like to see him never work again. Certainly never around children. He needs to spend the rest of his natural life doing public service.

As soon as someone points a finger and accuses someone of being a pedophile, we tend to rush to judgement online before all the facts are heard or the case goes to court. In Canada and the US, one is innocent until proven guilty. He may be guilty but we do not know that yet. A bell cannot be unrung. A person's reputation cannot easily be fixed after being proven innocent. We only remember the bad. Just saying. Let the facts speak for themselves. That takes time.

I'm sorry to say, but this isn't hearsay or speculation. He's admitted to it himself. And, though the public repercussions might be many, there won't be any legal backlash thanks to the statute of limitations.
