But what did really Sony think? Are they actually afraid so they caved in or are they making a publicity stunt for the movie so evenn more people will go see when/if it is released. And how many will be willing to let Sony make their pictures in the futuire when a treat is all it takes too stop the movie and thereby making the investors money go down the drain? Didn't Sony think of that? To postpone it i can understand but actually not release it seems not so smart from all angles.

I liked the idea that the Wall Street Journal proposed: The government buys all the rights to the movie and releases it, for free in whatever format, to everyone who wants to see it. Also, put it in thousands of USB drives and send them, via balloons, to North Korea for their citizens to view it also. The balloon tactic has been popular for the South Koreans to send stuff over the border for a long time.

I've wondered if Sony was behind it too. How many people had any interest in running out to see it before it hit the fan?

Anyway, I think it was a bad idea for a movie in the first place. Just like I thought this one was a bad idea. Death of a President (2006 film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and I am no fan of GWB. If Bush had made a big fuss, that movie would have made big bucks to someone. But, he said nothing....and nobody even remembers it (except me obviously ;) ).

I read tonight that it has a limited run Christmas day release here. I called my friends who are going to the movies on Christmas to tell them and got laughed at. They said that it's just a set up, publicity stunt, and then I felt silly as it had not occurred to me.

I had read that the FBI got involved so I don't know too many details but I dont believe everything is manufactured, just that it's maybe massaged for opportune. Now I'm not sure if I will go on Christmas day. I enjoy both Seth Rogen and making fun of Kim Jong Un so it's a toss up.
