Had a great time last night. Lee and Steve are a lot alike both physically and disposition which made for a very comfortable flow of conversation. Was told they'd sold about 800 tickets so a good crowd on hand. Have started reading Make Me and it's classic Jack Reacher. Steve told me and the audience later that there is a surprise in store for us that even took him unawares. That's got me really curious. :smile2:

Oooo! Never read a Reacher book. Adding one to the TBR to check it out.

Sounds like Steve made to the transition from interviewer pretty seamlessly. How did the question period - if there was one - go? Did anyone try to ask Steve questions instead of Lee?

There were some directed to both of them about writing but can't remember any specifically for Steve.

My 16 year old son and I went last night also. Thought they were interesting and funny together. My son adores King and sees the world the way he does (!) He now wants to read the Reacher novels. King looked great and seems thrilled with the award he is getting today. A great night!

Subtlety wasn't his strong suit on that one, was it?!

Just saw it on utube. :) Will have to re-watch, I was skipping some of the Lee Child parts.

SK talked about The Green Mile and the movie. I had no idea that Michael Clarke Duncan (R.I.P, Sai) was not that huge in real life. Big in the sense of muscles but not tall. Interesting. He spoke of up-shots and Tom Hanks standing in a hole for some scenes.
