Stephen King Reading and Writing?

When Stephen King is writing the draft of a new story- does he still continue to read other writers books at the same time? Example- He writes his stuff in the morning meanwhile he is reading The Old Man and the Sea at night.

I find it difficult to work on my own material sometimes when I am reading some other author's novel in the same day.

I think he would have to be. Supposedly he reads something like 80 books a year, and he writes every day. So, odds are, he's reading many many things.

Yes, he does still read other books. Since he writes every day, he'd never have time to read otherwise.
