    Hi,

I know that this has been brought up before, but I'm not finding it. This is a place to post about where you have seen references to Stephen King.

I'm watching "Revolution" on Hulu and my current episode is called "Captain Trips". I know that this show was brought up on the previous version of the board as well, but I thought I would refresh.

    Seen anything lately?

There is also a thread for Revolution here in the TV & Made-for-TV Movies area of the board. :)

No, no that's fine... because the thread you've started is a general one, so folks can post references from other shows here too. :)

We watched a movie called For Richer or Poorer with Tim Allen and Kirstie Alley. She saw the little Amish children and made a reference to The Children of the Corn (like they were creeping her out)

"These people aren't right. They're like children of the corn."

I hadn't ever watched Castle until TNT started marathoning it. It's a great show, I don't know how I missed it all these years. You're right about all the SK references on the show, they always make me smile :)

The King/Koontz spoofs on The Simpsons and Robot Chicken are pretty funny:)

In the movie "Monkeybone", there's a scene with a guy called "The Author" who greatly resembles Mr. King. According to Wikipedia Steve was supposed to make a cameo but had to back out at the last minute (not sure if that's true, this being Wikipedia and all).

They gave Steve the option to do it. He did think about it but opted to go with an actor and he got to choose which one from two demo tapes they sent.

The original pilot script for Castle had a scene with several people playing poker and Steve was one of them. They hadn't asked permission before doing so and later changed it to someone else after he found out through the grapevine.

Family Guy episode Three Kings is 3 short parodies of 3 SK stories - Misery, The Body/Stand by Me, and Shawshank Redemption. Wikipedia says that Seth McFarlane asked King before making it and Stephen agreed and enjoyed the episode. At the end of the episode, Peter says "thanks for watching, and thank you Stephen King, we'll see you in court"

He was also in a previous episode, being hit by a car, thrown into the air and writes a story before he lands a few seconds later.
