Besides all that, doesn't the Dark Tower series answer ALL of these things in that the "horrors" of his stories took place in "other dimensions" and/or floors of the Tower? So the cycles were correct on THAT earth... where werewolves DO exist. I also heard the Takuro Spirit sells nicely in the summers there...

Exactly. In fact, I'd be sorely disappointed if while reading sK east indeed couldn't meet west and was on the correct side.
