Hello folks!
This is kind of random, but I was wondering if anyone had any insight into Stephen's time at the University of Maine. I myself am both a King fan and a student at the university, and I started wondering: what was he involved in during his time here? What if he lived in the hall I currently live in? How wild would that be.
Marsha, I would really like to know what Stephen thought of the debates between William F. Buckley and Gore Vidal which happened during televised debates in 1968.Stephen tweeted on Friday that a new book titled HEARTS IN SUSPENSION will be published in the fall of this year (possibly October) which will be a collection of essays written by Stephen and other classmates and teachers about his time as a student at the University of Maine.
I'm not sure if he's covering that as I haven't seen his essay yet. They pretty much have the theme of the book already set out.Marsha, I would really like to know what Stephen thought of the debates between William F. Buckley and Gore Vidal which happened during televised debates in 1968.
There is a fascinating documentary called Best of Enemies. Just two men going after their conservative and liberal views in such a reserved and arrogant manner. Great fun to watch, at least I had a good time.
No, I don't mean for the book. I would just like to know his thoughts about them and those debates. Just a general question to him.I'm not sure if he's covering that as I haven't seen his essay yet. They pretty much have the theme of the book already set out.
Seriously? This isn't an extended April Fool's joke? This will be a fascinating read then!Stephen tweeted on Friday that a new book titled HEARTS IN SUSPENSION will be published in the fall of this year (possibly October) which will be a collection of essays written by Stephen and other classmates and teachers about his time as a student at the University of Maine.
No joke. They've been working on it since last September I think, but I couldn't say anything earlier which made it a little more challenging answering the OP's question.Seriously? This isn't an extended April Fool's joke? This will be a fascinating read then!
Will try to remember to ask.No, I don't mean for the book. I would just like to know his thoughts about them and those debates. Just a general question to him.
That would be cool. The documentary was so interesting and I just wonder what he thought of them at the time. Will try to remember to ask.

Soumds really interesting! Am already in Suspense for the big event!Stephen tweeted on Friday that a new book titled HEARTS IN SUSPENSION will be published in the fall of this year (possibly October) which will be a collection of essays written by Stephen and other classmates and teachers about his time as a student at the University of Maine.

We've had it on this site since we first redesigned it over a decade ago. It's in the Photo Gallery in the Author section.I got the picture off Pinterest. I Googled Stephen King and Plymouth as I wanted too know if he owned a Plymouth. I wasn't sure, even thought I thought that he had.
He doesn't look hairy to me.
Hairy bugger, wasn't he?
