I wasnt going to put it up - but i have just read 11/22/63 and it got me thinking a bit too much.

But it is there to grind folk, and raise pitch forks.

If its too much, and has to come down, i understand. He's my hero too. I just wanted to go extreme fan, annie wilkes on him.
I will let you know if it's crossing the legal boundaries...

11/22/63 is one of my most favourite of his books (hmmm - can one have a "most favourite, I wonder"?) :hmm:

So ive been hunkered down scribbling away for a while, but managed to produce something a bit special i reckon. This one is about Terraforming settlers forgotten and abandoned, left to defend themselves on a remote planet outpost, where the local indigenous people pick them off....balls, this sounds like Avatar! Anyway, the settlers have to scavenge and hunt to survive the barren landscape....balls, now im moving into the realms of the Martian!
Forget all that, if you enjoyed Calamity Jane, and Barbarella - then this is for you.
I reckon its my new project.

But hey, what i wanted to say was its Only just gone and made the front cover !!!

*Air guitar wild stallion solo*

And another thing...

How the hell did Leo Decap win an oscar for The Revenant???
All he done was grunt and slither for two and a half hours!
Tom Hardy was the actor who worked his socks off in that movie, but got no recognition at all. He was the star in the movie as far as i saw.

Watch Legend, Tom Hardy plays two brothers in that, a great movie showing his talents.

Okay break over, back to my french writing beauro(beuro?) and my next bestest story.

Sorry, had to take the direct link to purchase out but if anyone would like it they can PM you for it.

Admit it- you secretly love reading my sloppy work, and dont really want to share it with anyone else right? Thats the reason for the constant vigil by my posts.

No fear madam, i ride again, into the sunset on my trusty (copyright hat tip) steed Cappie, never to darken your doorstep for atleast another 8 weeks.

You found me out. BTW, we aren't intentionally playing favorites. Sometimes links get missed and aren't deleted for various reasons including that at least for me, I might have a lot of other things going on with work not related to the Board e.g. the phone has rung and I need to answer it, the UPS delivery man just arrived, I've got other things I need to do but wanted to not let too many posts pile up in the queue..you get the idea...and am skimming the posts instead of reading them with my full attention.

See you when you get back.

:). I'm just poking the wasp nest MM. Not really looking for punters to buy the book, just wanted to show folks I appreciate the help they have given me over the years with my writing education on here.... And that somebody actually likes what I do enough to print it in their book. And the fact I can see my profile on amazon-- Brilliant !

I just get a bit excited sometimes, and want to share with the board 'oldies' on here is all.

Ta-daaaa, finished my latest wee yarn.

Okay here you go, if any of you fine betas out there want to help me out. Just scan through PDF in the link above and tell me if you reckon the short story works. 1st draft on an old idea for a crime of passion story - see what I done there???

I'm hoping to send the edited piece in to julys edition of sci fi anthologies.

Translated from Scottish - no kayaks.

Cheers blokes & blokettes .

Congrats on making the front cover :) I like stories about terraformed worlds - not sure why since I don't understand the science behind terraforming but I do lol. The other stories look pretty good too :)

Thanks no bounce , yeh me too - I just gear towards the Wild West bit and not the science. I watched an old movie with Nicole Kidman and Tom cruise called far and away - I like the idea of the powers on earth selling land on some mars like planet - and folks trying to grab themselves a piece to terraform . Thanks for stopping by - I reckon I'll write more of that one . If you want a read of any drafts PM me -

I'm going to copy those links real quick before they get gone. I've read some of your stuff before and I like it. Looking forward to these.

This is my day too. I need a clone just to tend to those things.

so, in between arguing about the casting for DT, travelling across the Australian plains, and redesigning our living room-I have typed out this little fella. I call him 'Comfortably Numb' a little sci fi twilight zone episode. Got to catch the little buggers before they disappear from my brain.

Comfortably Numb (a short sci fi story 1500words) | darktowerjunky.wordpress.com

thanks for checking in.
