As I read posts on this forum and questions about which of SK's stories "started it all" for us, I realize that I simply don't remember my first SK story any more than I remember learning to breathe. What I do recall very vividly is the story that started my love affair with the horror genre. It was first read to me out loud by my grandmother, a librarian, when I was about six or seven.
