Well, I'm reluctant to list my hobbies for fear of putting y'all to sleep. Ever read The Education of Henry Adams? It often tops the list for the best nonfiction book of modern times. Anyway, over the years I've become an expert on Henry Adams. I'm also a civil war buff. And, finally, I'm really into studying the effects of technology on society. Okay… you can wake up now! :howdy:

Wilmington DE, strange little place.
I have lots of hobbies I do but they're all the solitary kind and the only outside one is gardening but that's mostly solitary, too. The ones I've done over the years are reading, knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, jewelry, gourd art, stained glass, locker hooking, hooked rugs, weaving, and probably a couple I'm forgetting because it's been a while since I've done them.

@Moderator hey, what is Locker hooking ???

Hobby: a pursuit outside one's regular occupation engaged in especially for relaxation.

Currently my main hobby is gardening. I have no hobbies which include other individuals at tis time. I own a few handguns which I've yet to fire, and have a couple of friends who want to learn to shoot with me. I recently have gotten back into keeping an aquarium. I like fantail goldfish and have two young Black Moors. I have three cats, and expect to have another dog before long, when I'm ready to choose one for reasons other than trying to replace my last one. I read some, when I make it an object of need and decide to close my laptop. I have many, many friends, but spend actual time with few of them unless in some cyber-type way.

I wish I could find a way to incorporate a hobby in a paying job, but can't figure that out yet. Meanwhile, I'll continue to do what earns money and enjoy life anyway.

As some of you know from having seen things here, photography. Pretty much any photography. Well.... I've never been to a runway, and I've refused to photograph weddings ("Look, it's the most important day of your life up to this point. For important things, get a professional."). Other than that, pretty much any photography.

Writing, both fiction and nonfiction, as some of you have seen in these pages and others.

Soccer, until I 1) ruptured my quadriceps when I was 2) old. (No, this is not me. I just like this shot.)

Motorcycling, until I sold the last one.

We like to travel and hike. Our anniversary's coming up, and we're going to go to Arches, Canyonlands, and Canyon of the Ancients for our anniversary trip.
