I watched them all yesterday and tonight. It's a fun show full of King Easter eggs and 80s music and nostalgia. The second season can't come fast enough.

I have to admit, a fair bit of what hooked me into watching was the presence of Winona Ryder, but while it might just be me tbh she's probably the worst actor in it.
(It also took me a while to get past the 'No way! She's not old enough to have a kid that old...oh, OK, she is' thing.)

OK. On further reflection and a couple more eps, I know what's bugging me about WR's performance.
Still enjoying it, though, and I'm glad to see the bods at Netflix are saying they'd be dumb not to do a second season. I just hope they can keep the quality up now they'll have 12-18 months to get it done rather than 2-4 years.
She just went straight to batsh!t crazy. Will's disappearance would have had her freaking out, fair enough, but it was like she went straight to ten and had to hold it there come what may. It's made her whole character too one-note, and the eye-rolling is overdone too. It's like she's trying too hard to recapture her better efforts from earlier in her career.
Her character had "anxiety issues" in the past, so I wasn't bothered by this so much.

The flashbacks also show her in a more relaxed mode, apparently still post-Lonnie, so it's not her usual state.
Started watching this last week and am 5 episodes in. I'm liking this very much.
Somebody please tell me this get better. I've watched 2 episodes and really struggling to even stick with it.
It gets better when The Gorn and The Salt Monster do battle in episode three.
I only wish The Gorn and Salt Monster were on this.
I don't know, I just don't care about any of these characters. Or what is going on. The kid stuff that everyone loves, and the kids -- not so much for me. I am bored. BUT, I'm hoping if I give it another episode or two, I will hook into it. Sometimes I'm just a slow burner.
I'm going to soldier on. I'll give it 4.
At least to the end of episode 3, when some serious shtuff happens.

After watching episode one, I realized the writing wasn't going to be the showcase of this show. Usually that's a dealbreaker for me but by the end of episode two I was digging it. Try to think of it as a theme park ride. 80s cotton candy.
That's my favorite episode of the season.
